Geography is a particularly important subject to develop your worldliness, keeping you informed about major issues affecting our lives. It develops greater international awareness and understanding of both the human and physical systems which operate around us.Â
You will learn a wide range of skills from researching and synthesising information, designing fieldwork investigations, critically analysing data and forming balanced arguments. It covers topics such as understanding our weather systems and tectonic hazards to examining the impacts of international migration and inequalities in development. It also considered the major environmental challenges facing humanity and our role in planetary stewardship. You will develop effective essay writing abilities as well as a range of mathematical data processing, digital mapping and graphical skills.Â
