Royal High School Bath, GDST appoints new Head
We are delighted to announce that Ms Heidi-Jayne Boyes has been appointed as the new Head of Royal High School Bath, GDST and will take up her post in January 2025.Â
Art Scholars collaborate for 44AD Gallery exhibition and Bath Abbey service
Key Stage 3 Art Scholars collaboratively produced a personal and creative painting and collage in response to the theme ‘Tomorrow to be Brave’, as part of the 44AD Gallery exhibition and service at Bath Abbey which acknowledged the bravery of 12 courageous women who had played a part in the war effort.Â
International Student Voice Competition Heats
Congratulations to all our students who participated in the highly competitive International Student Voice competition. The judges faced quite the challenge in selecting the winners and have shared immensely positive feedback for all our finalists. They were particularly impressed by the confidence and eloquence presented in all the speeches in a second language—a truly commendable achievement.
Celebrating our global community with our International Gala
A standout event of the Autumn term is our yearly International Gala, a celebration of the rich global tapestry at Royal High School Bath, which comprises students from over 25 different nationalities. Our international students, together with Miss Cheers, Head of International Students, crafted a program featuring songs, music, dance, poetry, with the grand finale of the international catwalk.Â
Armistice Day 2024
This week we marked Armistice Day across Royal High. An important feature for our school with our long historical connection with military families.Â
Boudica in Latin with Year 3 and Year 9
On 11th November, Armistice Day, we remembered another ancient war – between the Romans and the forces of Boudica in Roman Britain during 61 CE. In a special workshop, Year 3 joined forces with Year 9 to learn about the revolt of Boudica and teach them some useful Latin phrases.
A Journey to Remember: Battlefields of Northern France
As half term began, our English and History students embarked on a profound educational trip to the Battlefields of Northern France, exploring ares of conflict during the First World War around Ypres and the Somme.Â
New York Times best-selling author Megan Whalen Turner's workshop with Year 9
Students in Year 9 were treated to a visit from the New York Times best-selling author Megan Whalen Turner, who visited school to talk to students about the latest book in her award-winning series The Queen’s Thief. Â
GCSE Success for Royal High School Bath Students 
Congratulations to Royal High School Bath’s Year 11 GCSE cohort who have learned just how well their hard work and dedication to their studies has paid off. This sparky cohort of students have even managed to beat last year’s excellent results and can go on to study for A Levels or the school’s International Baccalaureate pathways with confidence.  Â
A-grade Success for A Level Students
Congratulations to the RHB Class of 2024 who earned an impressive set of A Levels with 48% of results at the top A* and A grades.
