An interview with an A Level student: Anna Wright
Sixth Form
Anna, RHS alumna 2021, achieved a full set of A* in her A Level results and goes on to study Business Management and Spanish. We asked her about her experience studying A Levels at RHS and what she's looking forward to in the future.
How did you find your A Level courses?
I took Maths, Spanish and Economics A Level, as well as Photography AS, and I really enjoyed all of them. I think that Maths greatly helped me with Economics, and I loved learning about the Hispanic culture through taking Spanish. I also really enjoyed taking a creative subject, as it gave me different skills and showed me a different way of working.
What skills for the future have you learnt thanks to your A Level courses?
All of my A Level courses involved problem solving, which I think is an extremely useful future skill that can be applied to all aspects of life, and will also be especially useful in my university degree. I also learned the importance of independent working and learning, better preparing me for university life.
What will you miss most about RHS Sixth Form?
I will miss all aspects of the RHS Sixth Form. I love the community that it is, with the common room being a place to meet together and chat. I will also miss how caring all the teachers are and how much effort they are willing to put in to each individual student.
What excites you most about the future?
I am really excited about going to university, being able to specialise in what I want to do (Business Management and Spanish), meeting new people and becoming more independent.
What would you say to someone considering coming to RHS Sixth Form?
To someone considering the RHS Sixth Form, I would say that it is an amazing place where they will be able to meet some incredible people, and also have complete support from the teachers. The academic side is quite demanding but I felt that I received the support to be able to achieve to the highest of my ability and I would 100% recommend it to anyone considering coming.
