Annual Art and Design Technology Show
Senior School, Art, STEM
We are delighted that record numbers attended our combined Art and Design Technology show and were able to share this collaboration and celebration of our students’ creativity and achievements with us.
It was an inspirational evening and the works on show were varied and of an excellent standard with many evocative and inspiring pieces on display by our A Level Product Design, GCSE Design Technology, Visual Arts IB, AS Photography and Alevel and GCSE Fine Art students. These proved the well-deserved reputations for excellence that both our Art and Design and Technology departments have.
Tory Gill, Head of Technology at Royal High School Bath, said: “To see so much innovation, creativity and high-quality outcomes presented by all of our students has made me incredibly proud. Each and every one of them challenged themselves to push boundaries and design skilled outcomes with a high-quality finish to solve their chosen problem, well done to all.”
Hannah Wilson, Head of Art at Royal High School Bath, said: “I am immensely proud to be able to share the amazing and inspiring work our students have created this year. Walking around the exhibition I am struck by the beauty and originality born out of time being well spent and the benefit that deep exploration and investigation has had on the work on show that only could come from time and space being given to it. How wonderful that we have been able to give this to our students who study GCSE, A Level and IB Visual Arts with us, and how remarkably they have risen to the occasion creating such powerful, thoughtful and interesting pieces."
One Year 13 A Level student, Amber Righton, summed up her experienced eloquently by saying: “The A Level Art course at Royal High has enthused me to an immeasurable degree, and thoroughly developed the way I view the relationship between art and the world, all down to the wonderful teachers and technicians who make it possible."
