Boarders enjoy fun-packed weekend
Senior School, Boarding
“ There is so much to see and do in Bath, but importantly for our boarders it is a great way for them to build their friendships, share new experiences and form happy memories of their time boarding at Royal High Bath.”
Our boarders enjoyed another activity-packed weekend. We are lucky to be within walking distance of beautiful Bath so our boarders benefit from all that it has to offer. While Bath is known best for its historic Georgian architecture, our boarders also enjoy many other activities:
On Saturday our Year 7s and Year 8s got to know the city of Bath even better, discovering the mysteries of this UNESCO World Heritage Site with a treasure trail around the centre.
Our Year 9 to Year 11 boarders embarked on an exhilarating virtual reality adventure at Active Reality Bath where they donned special googles for an immersive and interactive experience. It was the ultimate multiplayer activity, so everyone enjoyed having a go and had a tremendous time.
On Sunday our Year 7 and Year 8 boarders visited Tivoli cinema to see 'Mean Girls', a new musical twist on the original. The girls enjoyed the film and there was a lot to chat about after.
Using nothing but their logic and imagination our Year 9s worked together to solve a series of puzzles to break out of an escape room. It was a real testament to how well the girls communicate with and listen to each other, and work together so well as a team - they got out with two minutes to spare!
Our Year 10 and Year 11 boarders visited Heavenly Desserts, described as a ‘fine dining dessert restaurant’, in Lower Borough Walls in Bath, to enjoy some delicious sweet treats.
We offer a programme of events during weekends to encourage our boarders to take part in a variety of experiences – many, for the first time. There is so much to see and do in Bath, but importantly for our boarders it is a great way for them to build their friendships, share new experiences and form happy memories of their time boarding at Royal High Bath.
