Exploring Fairy Tales in Nursery

Our book for last week was Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The girls in Early Years have had so much fun with this text; we have learned the song, played the story out in role-play, and ordered story sequencing cards.

We loved re-telling the story in our own words, ordering the bears by size and creating bear masks! Outdoor Learning gave the girls a great opportunity to make their own ‘porridge’ by finding lots of natural objects to mix together. This helped extend their knowledge and language on textures, consistency and volume.
