Festival of Ideas 2023
Senior School
We are thrilled to be starting off this term with a bang! Our students have come back and immersed themselves straight away into our annual Festival of Ideas, when our whole school community comes together to explore a theme. This year our focus is on Health Matters and we are asking the all important question ‘What should we do to improve our health?’. From today (6 June) until 16 June, students will be able to gain inspiration from a range of speakers and take part in an exciting programme of cross curricular activities on this theme organised by teaching staff.
Today’s speaker Dr Bhatia, a GP and Holistic Wellbeing Consultant, makes the important point that “Health is about the whole of you, so it’s about more than what's under our skin and avoiding disease.”
Dr Bhatia has set our students a well being challenge. Today and tomorrow they will as teams to connect, discuss and learn about well being themes that bring out our best; to consider and think about the science and art behind it; and finally to share and inspire others with their ideas.
We are looking forward to seeing what our students come up at the Ideas Fair tomorrow (Wednesday afternoon). Held on our front lawn, each team of students will have produced a display to engage with their audience and empower them with easy ways to bring out our best in our day to day life.
Still to come…
