Higher Courts Advocate shares knowledge with Psychology students
Senior School
On Monday, Year 13 Psychology students were fortunate to hear from Catherine Thornton who is a Solicitor and Higher Courts Advocate.
During this enlightening talk we were given a detailed insight into the criminal justice system and exploring who is more likely to turn to crime and the contributing factors. We learnt about the various agencies involved at the different stages of the process, from arrest to prosecution. We were encouraged to consider what role we could play in reducing offending rates.
The talk was extremely thought provoking and we're very grateful to Catherine for coming in to talk to our students.
