‘Baarmy Bethlehem’ Infants Nativity at The Egg Theatre
Nursery and Prep School, Performing Arts, Prep
‘Baarmy Bethlehem’ was performed by our fabulous Infant girls at wonderful Egg Theatre last week. This joyous and uplifting Nativity told the Christmas story through the eyes of four party sheep: Cheeky, Rascal, Scamp and Trouble and their long-suffering shepherds: Sammy, Sonny and Stella. The girls in Year 2 did a fantastic job performing as the main characters with infectious confidence and expression. They were ably assisted by Reception and Year 1 as Angels, Mary, Joseph, Kings and Camels.
Performing at the Egg Theatre is always a great experience for the Prep girls and one they will treasure for many years to come.
Staff and parents were very proud of the girls and we all left the theatre with huge smiles and full hearts.
The Year 2 girls had this to say about their experience:
Edie: “My favourite part was dancing at the end to ‘Better When I’m Dancing’.”
Esme: “Being on stage at The Egg Theatre was amazing and I loved it!”
Indie: “I loved saying all of my lines.”
Penelope: “My favourite line was, ‘Hang on a minute…I’m confused!’”
Imogen: “I loved going into the wings to get my party blower!”
Phoebe: “I thought it was going to be scary on stage, but it was great fun.”
Sasha: “The best bit was blowing our party blowers at the end of the show.”
Congratulations to the girls and ‘thank you’ to Mrs Bazley, the Infant team and our amazing ‘Costume Carole’ for all their hard work and support.
