Music Scholars Showcase

Last night marked our first musical concert of the academic year with a stunning showcase of talent and variety from our music scholars in the Steinway Music School.

There was a wonderfully eclectic mix of instruments and styles from classic voice with Erin singing Faure’s Pie Jesu to Eliza’s first performance in the Senior School with everyone tapping along to her drumming to Come Together courtesy of the Beetles on a backing track.

Special mention to our duet of boarders Sofia and Bea for their sparky performance of Arens’ Witches Dance, with Sofia accompanying Bea’s clarinet with great aplomb on the piano. Unforgettable was Yuyuan’s captivating performance of WeiJun’s The Walking Man on the guqin, an instrument she has been playing since she was 4.
