Game of Thrones Star Visits RHS

You may have seen on Twitter that we had a major celebrity in school on Friday last week! Maisie Williams, who stars in the hit fantasy drama television series Game of Thrones and has had a recurring role in Doctor Who, grew up in Somerset and attended Bath Dance College. She called into the Junior School to tell the girls a bit about her life and work, and to help raise awareness of the upcoming Masquerade Ball at the Assembly rooms in aid of the NSPCC which is taking place on 4th June.
The NSPCC is a cause Maisie holds dear, and a good friend of hers works for the charity. Several of our Year 9 girls and Junior School pupils have made masks that will be used as table decorations for the ball. It was lovely to welcome Maisie to The Royal High School — the girls (and the staff!) were very excited to meet her.
