RHS and RUH Links Continue to Develop
Senior School, Performing Arts
The RUH visitors, patients and staff were treated to an ensemble of incredible singing on Thursday from our senior school girls under the ever inspirational direction of Mr Bradbury. Raising money for the Forever Friends appeal, the audience marvelled at the quality of the performances and with many girls also set to perform on Saturday at the Summer Music Festival, we are certainly in for a real treat. We hope to see some of you on Saturday!
A special mention goes to our lovely Jess Baldrian who although she has finished A2 exams, came along to join in the fun. Jess, we will miss you and your amazing voice very much!
We were delighted to further our link with the Royal United Hospital Bath this week and their Forever Friends appeal who kindly opened up an Oncology talk to students from RHSB interested in medical careers. Many of our girls attended and we were complimented upon the questions and interest they brought to the evening which consisted of talks from clinicians and the Head of Fundraising, as well as a tour of the current Oncology facilities and planned new Centre. It was a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand how this project will benefit thousands of local patients, and how community support is so vital in achieving this. Our thanks to Lydia McGivern from the RUH who organised the evening.
