Rocket Science Continues!
Nursery and Prep School, Girls in STEM
As you may recall from an earlier newsletter, we are conducting an experiment here at the Junior School using seeds from space! It was on 2nd September 2015 that 2kg of rocket seed travelled from Kazakhstan on the Soyuz 44S rocket to the International Space Station. The seeds were then stored in microgravity by Tim Peake and the seeds returned to Earth in Spring 2016, when they were sent to schools. Earlier this term, we planted two sets of seeds, some that have been in space and some that haven’t — and even the teachers don’t know which group is which! The aim of the experiment is to see which seeds grow better.
