Year 3 girls become Roman experts!
Year Three has been busy learning about the Romans since half term. We have taken part in a drama workshop with the Year 9s about Boudicca’s battle with the Romans and been on a trip to the Roman Baths to learn about life in a Roman town and being an archaeologist. Developing a love of phonics in Reception
Our Reception children at RHB Prep have come back from half term with continued enthusiasm and energy. They have developed a love of phonics and literacy sessions and when they are told it’s phonics time a cheer goes up in the classroom, usually followed by ‘I love phonics!’.
RHB Nursery celebrates Diwali
During half term Nursery celebrated Diwali. The girls enjoyed creating Diya lamps using clay, making samosas in cookery, and creating rangoli patterns using chalk. We listened to the traditional story of Rama and Sita and used props to act out the story, even creating a real bridge for Rama to cross to recuse Sita.

Meg's big moment at Bath Children's Literature Festival
Meg, Year 3, had a very exciting and memorable weekend, introducing to the stage at Bath Forum one of the best-known figures in the children's book world, Michael Rosen.

Year 5 & 6 pupils delighted audiences with The Aristocats
Last week, the amazing Year 5 and 6 pupils delighted their audiences with a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns.

Cookery challenge for Reception pupils
This week, our Reception pupils were set a very tricky challenge in cookery to make some sweet treats on their own; choosing, measuring and mixing ingredients.
Year 6 compose positivity pop songs
Our Year 6 pupils had an exciting time recording “positivity pop songs” they composed themselves. The songs had wonderful heartwarming lyrics and beautiful melodies.
