Planting Bulbs and Fun Fungi
Nursery and Prep School
A huge thank you to Mrs Tytler (Year 5) - she has given some daffodil bulbs to the school and Year 5 girls have planted them. We look forward to seeing them in the courtyard in January - they are something cheerful to look forward to!
On a related theme, some strange fungi have appeared in the grounds of Cranwell!
Ms Appleby’s Science Inspire group have been exploring the grounds and learning about different types of fungi, which are common at this time of year. They then learned about the chemistry of making their own play dough, sculpted the dough into the fungi shapes they had seen in the grounds and painted the fungi.
Fascinating Fungi
Finally, they stuck the fungi to sticks as the stalks and made a collaborative display. They all know not to touch any fungus in the wild and also how amazing it is!
