Year 6 Condover Netball Weekend
Nursery and Prep School, Sport
Over the course of a thrilling three-day weekend at Condover Hall in Shrewsbury, our enthusiastic Royal High Bath Year 6 netballers embarked on an unforgettable residential experience, combining exciting activities with netball mastery, alongside 20 other GDST schools.
A report from Scarlett and Wren:
We were so excited to arrive at Condover for our Netball weekend, even though we had just finished a 3 hour coach journey. We grabbed our bags and went to the dorms. We met our lovely instructor, had a site tour, then got changed for dinner. After dinner, we tried out activities including abseiling, rock climbing, trapeze and lots more. Exhausted after a very long day, we went to bed.
After a delicious breakfast the next day, we did more activities in the morning, then changed into our PE kit, ready for a long afternoon of netball. After all the matches, we had dinner and a fun evening - some of us went along to the silent disco. Then it was time for bed; we needed rest for the next day.
On Sunday we had to get up really early, and played lots more netball after breakfast. Everyone did really well, and the "A team" came 2nd in the plate competition.
After all that, we had lunch in the sun, then played some games on the field. Everyone was sad to leave, but we went home knowing we had a really fun and exciting weekend.
Many thanks to Mr James, Miss Perry and Mrs Robson for coming on the trip with us and organising it. Everyone thought they were amazing and the teachers thought the girls were fantastic!
