Prep School music concert
Nursery and Prep School, Music
On Thursday 26 May our pupils had a wonderful time performing in the Prep School Music concert. There were two concerts, one for the Infants and the other for Years 3-6.
Eliza and Alice in Year 5 have written a summary of the concert, which was a fantastic night enjoyed by all.
"There were so many different instruments, from violin to drums, from recorder to voice. All of the musical clubs performed: Choir, Orchestras and Recorder Clubs. We are both in these clubs and the amazing thing about being in a music club is making music together and feeling part of something special.
Anyone who wanted to perform in the concerts was able to.
We played the drums, piano, clarinet and we sang too. It was really inspiring to watch all of the other musicians, some who we hadn’t heard before.
We would like to say thank you to all the music teachers who helped us and also to Mrs Lilley who should have been at the Killers’ concert in Bristol but gave up her ticket so she could support us. Thank you to Mr Woods for getting the hall ready and to Mr Rushworth for taking photos. Thank you to our audiences who gave us lots of encouragement and to all the teachers who helped on the night.
Lastly, thank you to Mrs Millard our awesome Head of Performing Arts."
