Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
Senior School, Nursery and Prep School, Community
On Friday 27 May, we celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee throughout our Prep and Senior Schools.
Our Prep School pupils formed a giant 70 in honour of the occasion and enjoyed a Jubilee afternoon tea picnic in the sun.
At the Senior School students went back to the 1950s and held a vintage sports day and tea party with an action-packed afternoon of games followed by a charity cake sale on Chapel Field.
It was wonderful to see so many staff and students taking part in the various games – including egg and spoon races, skipping contests and a very competitive tug-of-war - and physically putting their bodies on the line in the name of their respective houses!
The cake competition and fundraising cake sale was also a huge success. The students and staff certainly rose to the occasion and in the process raised a lot of money for our chosen charity, The Ukraine Humanitarian Fund. Huge thanks to all that took part! Winners and totals will be announced on the Tuesday back after half term. Sorry to keep everyone in suspense for a little longer!
What a fabulous afternoon to celebrate an historic occasion. Here are a few of our favourite photos.
