Royal High School students jump into NSEA finals
Senior School, Sport
Four Royal High School students will be taking part in the NSEA National Showjumping championships next year after coming first in the 80cm jump at the recent NSEA competition held at Dauntsey's.
Annalisa Owers, Isabella Owers, Mya Harvey and Cesca Butterworth represented the Royal High School, and were the only team to jump three clear rounds of the 80m class, fighting off competition from 14 other schools. The girls’ team also placed 7th in the 90cm and 100cm events with Mya Harvey coming an individual 10th in the 90cm and Cesca Butterworth placing an individual 6th position in the 80cm competition.
Their success follows Cesca Butterworth’s November win in the NSEA Novice dressage class, which led to her qualifying to represent Somerset in April 2022. Cesca came first, scoring 72% despite having to withdraw at the National dressage competition due to Covid.
