Developing a love of phonics in Reception

Our Reception children at RHB Prep have come back from half term with continued enthusiasm and energy. They have developed a love of phonics and literacy sessions and when they are told it’s phonics time a cheer goes up in the classroom, usually followed by ‘I love phonics!’.

RHB Nursery celebrates Diwali

During half term Nursery celebrated Diwali. The girls enjoyed creating Diya lamps using clay, making samosas in cookery, and creating rangoli patterns using chalk. We listened to the traditional story of Rama and Sita and used props to act out the story, even creating a real bridge for Rama to cross to recuse Sita.
