Speaker's Week
Senior School
Our second week of the Festival of Ideas saw the appearance of four speakers, who each came to discuss our topic of Finding Your Voice with students in Years 7 and 9 by showing how they found their own voice and got to where they are today.
It was great for our students to hear personal experiences from four very different individuals; Abigail Emery, a behavioural scientist, Emma Ferguson, UNICEF’s Global Advocacy Lead on child and adolescent mental health, Manoel Akure, a rising artist, and Freya Berry, an RHS alumna and author.
Part of this process was ensuring that our students got to hear from a range of voices, who work in different professions and have different lifestyles.
Throughout the week the girls were asking questions to each of our guests and it was fantastic to see them so engaged and inspired during the sessions.
