Staff Sports Day: Chaos, Laughter, and Some Questionable Athleticism for Comic Relief
Sixth Form, Senior School, Charity, Community

This afternoon the Senior School community witnessed a sporting spectacle like no other, as teachers traded textbooks for trainers in a hilarious Staff Sports Day, all in aid of Comic Relief. Organised by our brilliant Year 13 Charity Prefects, Jess and Ashleigh with the help of Amelie, the event saw around 20 teachers stepping up to represent their houses in an afternoon of friendly(ish) competition.
The lineup of events had something for everyone, from the precision of the egg and spoon race to the high-intensity skipping race, where coordination was optional. The sprint and relay races featured some truly impressive bursts of speed, while the tug of war became a free for all, with the winning team of staff up against the whole of year 13.
Students cheered and the competitive spirits of our teachers ran high! The event was packed with laughter and unexpected athleticism.Â
A huge well done to everyone who participated, cheered, or simply tried not to drop their egg. Not only did we all enjoy a fantastic afternoon of silliness and school spirit, but we also raised valuable funds for Comic Relief. Thanks to all who made this event possible. Same time next year? Start training now!
