Student selected for GDST U15 Football Squad

Congratulations again to Sophie in Year 10 on being selected to be part of the GDST U15 Football Squad!
Following on from Sophie’s selection she attended a GDST Football weekend in Oxford on Friday 29 April to Saturday 30 April. Sophie was one of two Goal Keepers selected and she spent the weekend taking part in squad training sessions and she was selected to play in two matches last weekend.
Sophie rose to the challenge conceding just 2 goals across the two matches playing against two club side consisting of girls 2 years her senior. The first game the GDST U15 side won 3-1 and the second they won 8-1.
This is a huge achievement for Sophie and we are very proud of her for representing RHSB magnificently playing alongside some very talented players from across our family of GDST Schools. WELL DONE SOPHIE!
