Students compete in Wiltshire Show Jumping County Qualifier
Senior School, Sport
This month Mya, Annalisa and Isabella competed at West Wilts Equestrian Centre in the Show Jumping County Qualifier.
They jumped confident rounds and came 3rd as a team in the 90cm class and Annalisa was 4th individually in the 1m class riding Aiakos de la Scarpe. Isabella also jumped a super clears in the 90cm and 1m classes on her new pony Noble Sir Prize.
Unfortunately, it was a county qualifier for Wiltshire and Gloucestershire so only schools from those counties could qualify for any finals but the girls have gained valuable experience.
Mya did extremely well considering she had only just got back from a ski trip, with only minor mistakes in her two rounds, and has an exciting new horse that she is hoping to do some shows with in the near future.
In regards to future plans and aims, Annalisa is competing at British Show Jumping shows with Aiakos and is hoping to move up to Jumping 1m10’s, and her little pony stallion Call Me Angel will be back competing soon after some time off and will also be jumping 1.10’s and hopefully 1.20’s.
Isabella will continue doing working hunter shows and her aim is to qualify her 3 ponies for Royal International and Horse of the Year Show again this year!
