Earlier this year we announced that our student-led 'The Write Space' society were to publish their first anthology.
We celebrated the launch of the 2021 Anthology with tea and cake in the wonderful boarding common room! Under the enthusiastic leadership of Joely, now Year 12, The Write Space offers students the opportunity to flex their literary muscles and share a real passion for creative writing.
Mr Benedict, Head of English congratulated Joely for cultivating a sharing space for writing and that "the group is a fantastic example of how collectively we can nurture each other’s voices. Seeing this project flourish has been a privilege to witness and I hope that now out of lockdown, the team will be able to grow and continue their passion."
Mrs Reynolds commented on how humbling the anthology is to read. "It shows a phenomenal wealth of talent and is an example of all that is important at RHSB – them, the students. It’s the students’ voice and presence that matters."
She encouraged the girls to get others involved and to continue to write and be creative and thanked Joely for being a catalyst to such fantastic creativity.
