Bath Childrens Lit Fest 5
Above Year 5 pupils with best-selling authors, Lindsay Galvin and A. M. Howell

We love being part of this year's Bath Children's Literature Festival. Our Year 2 pupils had a wonderful morning yesterday with award-winning author Patrice Lawrence. They thoroughly enjoyed listening to her speak about her book ‘Granny came here on the Empire Windrush' and were interested in finding out more about the author, her own family stories and the other books she has written.

Today it was the turn of our Year 5 pupils who enjoyed going on a rip-roaring ride through history with two best-selling authors, Lindsay Galvin and A. M. Howell. Our Year 5 topic this term is the Victorians, so our pupils were especially keen to learn about real-life places and people during this period and the author really helped them to imagine how it felt to have grown up in in this time.

Believing passionately in the value of literature, we are proud to sponsor Bath Children's Literature Festival once again and to be a part of bringing books and stories alive.”

We are now looking forward to Saturday 1 October when our Head of Prep, Mrs Lilley and some of our Prep pupils will be joining Rob Biddulph for a fun-packed session of colour, creativity and monster magic.

A massive thank you to all the authors but also to Bath Children's Literature Festival who year after year create a vibrant and friendly atmosphere where young book fans can meet their favourite authors and book characters.
