Year 4 visit to Longleat Safari park

Last week, Year 4 visited Longleat Safari park. Their theme is ‘An African Adventure’ and they wanted to learn more about African animals and their habitats.
The hot, sunny weather meant that they could actually imagine we were in Africa, and it was nice to see the animals looking very at home in their surroundings. On the safari the girls saw some fascinating animals including giraffes, zebras and lions. Most of the big cats were sleeping in the shade and looked deceptively cuddly!
There were lots of highlights during the day, from seeing sea lions and gorillas on a boat trip to observing koalas napping in trees in the Koala Creek – they know they aren’t African, but it was an experience not to be missed!
It was a fabulous trip and the girls really impressed their teachers with their excellent questions and lovely enthusiasm.
