Year 7 Student's Handmade Scrunchies Raise Nearly £300 for Charity

We are incredibly proud of Year 7 student Niamh, who has been fundraising tirelessly for The Carers’ Centre in Bath, a charity that has provided invaluable support to her and her family.

With her mum preparing to run the Bath Half Marathon next weekend to raise money for the centre, Niamh was determined to do her part. While she’s too young to take part in the race herself, she found a creative way to contribute—by crocheting scrunchies in our RHB school colours and selling them during break times at school (with a little help from her friends!).

Her hard work and dedication have already paid off, with nearly 60 scrunchies sold and an incredible £300 raised for the charity! Thanks to Niamh’s initiative, not only is she making a meaningful difference, but our school is looking more colourful than ever.

A huge well done to Niamh for her kindness, creativity, and commitment, and impressive entrepreneurial idea. We can’t wait to see how much more she raises!
