Inspections

Staff and pupils are proud to belong to the school. They share a strong belief in its aims and ethos. The school seeks to prepare pupils for their future careers by developing key personal and academic skills in all years. These qualities shape the school's provision and support pupils' personal character development as well as their academic achievement.”
Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) 2024

We are delighted that following the Independent Schools Inspectorate visit in March 2024,  Royal High Bath is identified as a ‘forward-looking’ place that staff and pupils feel ‘proud to belong to.’ It is also gratifying to see that the inspectors recognised all the progress students make through using our Royal High Learner Qualities to bring about personal character development as well as academic achievement. Our girl-centred teaching is lauded in the Prep and Senior School highlighting the well-planned but flexible lessons and the teachers’ use of praise to motivate students to be brave and take ‘measured risks so they are not afraid to make mistakes’ and learn from them.

Praise is also given to our boarding houses as a welcoming environment where each pupil is celebrated as an individual and can feel comfortable and safe. The report also highlights the quality of pastoral care throughout the school as well as the leadership and mentoring opportunities and our expertise in careers education and preparing them for their next stage of their lives.Â
