Sport at Royal High
Teamwork at Royal High School Bath is not just on the sports field, it’s a positive way of thinking and responsible way of behaving. From beginners through to elite sportswomen, every student makes a contribution and makes a difference. Every girl belongs.
A higher level of competition
Strong athletes are a distinctive feature of sporting life at our school. Girls have gone on to represent the county and region, and more recently have gained international honours. We also have members of PE staff who have played sport at the highest level and hold international representative honours.
As part of the Girls’ Day School Trust we have unique opportunities to take part in many GDST tournaments. Competitions are held in gymnastics, dance, cross country, netball, hockey, tennis, cricket, athletics, golf and swimming. Our girls also regularly compete in many local and national competitions as well as against other schools in the area.

Leading the game.
Alongside structured PE lessons, girls join in with a wide range of lunchtime and after-school sporting activities. Our sports facilities include our sports hall, fitness suite, netball courts, tennis courts, and hockey astroturf.
In every team there’s the opportunity to lead, and every girl at Royal High School Bath can lead in her own way, be it in Sport, Drama, Music, Science or Languages.
