We are looking for a warm and friendly level 3 qualified Out of Care Manager to join our team at the Royal High Prep. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with children across the 3-11 age range, be a supportive team player, excellent communicator and have the ability to lead with vision and empathy.
The successful applicant for the post will support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum in a thorough and inspiring way. Commitment is essential, both in and out of the classroom and at times, help with other areas of school life will be required. There is certainly scope for an individual to develop and expand their talents, supported by a lively and giving staff. The post would suit a nursery nurse who is dedicated and ready for a challenge.
The Royal High School is an academically selective, independent day and boarding school for approximately 650 girls aged 3-18. The Prep and Senior schools are both situated on the northern side of Bath, enjoying commanding views of the city.
The Prep School adopts a creative approach to learning which is rooted in the Reggio Emilia Philosophy. Known as the ‘Cranwell Curriculum’ we combine the National Curriculum and the EYFS requirements, whilst ensuring that the girls lead and take responsibility for their own learning. Regular assessments indicate that achievement is well above the national average. There is, however, much more on offer. In addition to the academic aspect of school life, there is a rich programme of music, art, PE, dance and drama. We want our pupils to achieve their potential in every domain and play a full part in the life of the school. Above all, we want happy and confident girls!
The school relocated in January 2014 to Cranwell House in Lower Weston which is a Grade II Victorian Mansion. The facilities offer first class opportunities to challenge and stimulate the girls with their learning. Within the main house, which is the base for our pupils from Nursery to Year 4, the girls have access to a ‘Discovery’ room, a creativity area and music practice rooms. The Hope Building (our stunning new build) houses the multi-purpose hall, creative arts and dance studios and the Year 5 and 6 classrooms. All girls throughout the school use their spacious, well-equipped classrooms alongside the beautiful grounds which offer enormous potential for outdoor learning and exploration.
The Royal High School is committed to the safeguarding of children. Child protection screening, including an Enhanced Disclosure and Disqualification by association will apply to this post.
Applications need to be received by Monday 12th December. We reserve the right to interview applicants before the closing date.
